A GREEN FINS PROJECT

Helping to protect the environment is one of PlanToys^® special aims. As a result of human activities, a lot of waste is thrown into the sea – both intentionally and unintentionally. This significantly affects the ecosystem that exists under water.

Joining with Coral Reef Monitoring & Public Awareness through the Network of Dive Operators for Protecting Coral Reefs in Southeast Asia and ‘A Green Fins Programme’, PlanToys^® is helping conserve the ocean by collecting waste and cleaning up beaches.

Each year over 150 volunteers, including local associations, communities and PlanToys^® employees, are divided into groups and got to work. Depending on the types of waste they are assigned, such as piscatorial waste, putrescible waste, recyclable waste or hazardous waste, each team works diligently and does an excellent job. After the mission, the collected trash is disposed of properly through a recycling process according to type. Paper and plastic bottles for instance can easily be recycled for future use.
